Hello, I'm Jaclyn Fortier. I am an aspiring creative director and fine artist.
Originally from Miami, I am a native to South Florida and currently live and work in Broward County. As a natural educator and advocate for the arts, I have been teaching High School Art at Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale since 2015. Venturing up north to the suburbs of Chicago, I received my B.A. in Fine Arts from Wheaton College (’15) with a minor in Spanish Language.
Pursuing art since childhood, I have experience in practically every medium but prefer to work in 2-D design. In regards to formal training, I have studied under the late Weston-based Venezuelan artist Conchita Firgau, to whom I owe the majority of my artistic talent.
Beyond the classroom, I head the set design for Westminster’s theatrical productions, create commissioned portraits and murals, and produce my own personal artwork. I also blog on occasion.
